About

Wedding Wags is owned by Eric and Shannon, two lifelong dog lovers who acquired the business because they believe pets belong at the heart of every celebration. Partnered with Katz Dogs K9 — Eric's dog boarding, daycare, and grooming business started in 2018 — they bring professional animal care expertise to every wedding they work.

How It Works

Your Wedding Wags attendant will transport your dog to the venue, handle all day-of coordination with your vendors, manage photos, potty breaks, feeding, and water, then return your dog home or to boarding at the end of coverage. For couples who want full continuity, Katz Dogs K9 can board and groom your dog in the days before and after the wedding.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a wedding pet attendant?

A wedding pet attendant is a professional who provides care and supervision for pets during a wedding event. This includes food, water, potty walks, keeping the pet calm, coordinating their participation in the ceremony or reception, and handling any unexpected needs throughout the day.

Why do I need to hire a professional wedding pet attendant?

A professional means you can relax and enjoy your day without worrying about your pet. Wedding Wags comes prepared with supplies, coordinates with your vendors, and stays flexible to timeline changes — all so your pet has a fun, stress-free experience.

Do you offer boarding and grooming services?

Yes. Katz Dogs K9, which owns and operates Wedding Wags, offers boarding, daycare, and grooming services. Your dog can be boarded from the rehearsal dinner through the honeymoon and groomed before the big day.

What role should my pet have in my wedding?

Consider your pet's energy level and comfort in crowds. Options range from walking down the aisle and stepping away before vows, to staying with the bridal party throughout, to having a trusted guest or your attendant manage them during the ceremony. Wedding Wags can advise on what works best for your specific dog.
