Wags Down the Aisle
Northwest Washington's wedding day pet coordinators — insured and certified
Bellingham, WA, Washington
About
Adrienne is a healthcare program manager who founded Wags Down the Aisle out of a genuine belief that every couple deserves to include their dog in their big day without the added stress. As a certified Project Management Professional, she approaches your pet's day with the same attention to detail she brings to her career, and her own dog Otis — a reactive pup she manages with positive reinforcement — has made her especially thoughtful about creating a supportive, adaptable environment for dogs of every personality. The broader team of animal lovers, dog moms, and shelter volunteers she's built around her shares that same commitment.
How It Works
After you fill out the inquiry form, Adrienne and the team chat through your pet's day and build a custom agenda before you sign the pet care agreement and pay your retainer to lock in the date. On the wedding day itself, your assigned handler arrives to transport your dog to the venue, keeps them on schedule through ceremony, portraits, and cocktail hour, and wraps the evening with dinner and decompression time at home — so your dog ends the day as happy as you do.
Serves Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, and King Counties. Island and San Juan Counties available with additional travel fees. Effective mid-2025, not accepting bookings south or east of listed counties. Meet and greets available in all serviced counties (King County: as far south as SeaTac and as far east as Issaquah). Multiple dates in King/Snohomish and Whatcom/Skagit Counties fully booked through late 2026.
Services & Capabilities
What Sets Them Apart
- Every booking includes a complimentary meet and greet before your wedding day, so your dog already has a friendly face they recognize when things get exciting at the venue.
- Adrienne is a certified Project Management Professional — your dog's timeline is coordinated with the same rigor as the rest of your wedding, and she works directly with your planner and vendors.
- The team is insured through Mourer-Foster's KennelPro, members of two regional wedding guilds, and finalists for Best Pet Attendant in the 2025 Washington Wedding Day awards — you're in experienced, accountable hands.
- They welcome all dog breeds and sizes, and have worked with cats and other animals too — no restrictions, just customized care for whatever (and whoever) matters to you.
- Over 150 dogs have had their big day with this team. That track record shows in the level of trust couples place in them — and in the glowing reviews they consistently receive.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do we book you?
1) Fill out the inquiry form. 2) We'll chat details and plan your pup's day. 3) You review a quote and timeline. 4) Sign the pet care agreement. 5) Pay your retainer (deposit) to finalize booking. Your event is not reserved with us until the deposit is paid.
Where are you located and what areas do you service?
Our team is spread throughout Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, and King Counties. We are currently servicing Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, and King Counties. San Juan, Island, and Kitsap Counties may be serviced with additional travel fees/accommodations. Effective mid-2025 we are not accepting bookings for anything South or East of counties listed above.
Do you offer overnight pet care, dog boarding, or dog sitting?
We do not offer overnight care, dog boarding, or dog sitting. We often drop dogs off at boarding, a Rover's home, etc. and are happy to provide recommendations if needed. In very rare occasions we may be able to accommodate overnight care after your wedding or event, but it typically cannot occur at the pet care attendant's home, so accommodations/lodging for our team member + your pup would be required.
What are your rates?
Weddings range from $100–$125/hour depending on county. Check out our services page for all the info on pricing.
Do you have any size, weight, or breed restrictions?
Hell no! We welcome all dog breeds (and any other pets that would be willing to participate in your big day). For multiple dogs, especially medium-large sized ones, we will have more than one pet handler working your event.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
The 50% retainer (deposit) paid to secure our services is non-refundable as it offsets the loss of business, since we reserve your wedding date for you. There's more detail about this in our contract (pet care agreement).
What are your travel fees?
Travel fees begin after 30 minutes of travel time, starting at your pet care attendant's home. These fees are $60/hour. Events requiring travel by ferry or other modes of transportation will have fees added to the quote. Events more than three hours away may require an overnight stay, including lodging, mileage and/or air travel fees, parking fees, and per diem food charges.
Do you work with cats or other animals?
Sure do! We've had four cat clients thus far. Cats should be comfortable being outside (either on a leash, being carried, in a cat bag or stroller, etc.) for them to successfully attend your wedding. We are also more than willing to discuss working with other animals like rabbits, horses, cows — whatever you got!
