About
With more than a decade of experience in the Houston pet care industry, and with hands on experience working in doggy daycares, boarding facilities and veterinary clinics, and earning a Certified Veterinary Assistant Level 1 credential, Rebecca is well versed in working with all shapes, sizes and breeds of animals. The Golden Leash was created and named in honor of my beloved Golden Retriever Dakota, whose steady devotion inspired me to build something grounded in honesty and real care for pets and people. In the summer of 2024, when I looked at the Houston wedding market & saw that there was a unique need, dedicated to helping couples include their pets in one of the most important days of their lives, I knew I needed to help! If anyone understands the depth of the bond between a person and their dog(s) — the kind of love that shows up without conditions, that anchors you when nothing else does — it's me.
How It Works
Our journey with each couple begins with a free pre-wedding discovery call via Zoom, where Rebecca meets you via the call, to learn about your wedding day vision for including your pets, and gathers some basic information about each pet before any service is booked. After that, she coordinates ahead of time with the planner, venue, photographer, videographer, and content creator, and assembles a custom pet itinerary for the wedding day. On the wedding date itself she manages transport, on-site care, and every moment each pet plays a role in during the celebration — then makes sure they're returned home safely once the party winds down.
Wedding services with The Golden leash are available Monday through Sunday 9am–10pm. Travel for pet wedding attendant work is open across Texas (prices & rates will vary). Up to 60 miles is included per package; any additional distance is billed per estimated travel time.

- Once the wedding wraps, The Golden Leash can take over in-home pet sitting through your honeymoon if needed, meaning one familiar person carries you from first consultation right through your return.

starting at $450.00A great fit for pets who only need to be present for photos, especially those that struggle with anxiety or crowds. You receive a service contract, vendor communications, a tailored day-of pet itinerary, up to 60 miles of pet transportation, on-site care, optional light guest interaction, and a keepsake paw print.
Bronze Package

Optional add-ons
Extra hours: $150 per additional hour. Additional pets: $40 per extra pet. Extra pet care attendant: $150 for more than 1 pet. Extra travel miles: Any additional travel beyond the included 60-mile radius distance, is billed per the estimated travel time. Special requests & accommodations: Prices will vary based on the request.

What areas do you service?
We happily travel to most wedding venues within the Houston, TX and surrounding areas, and love serving couples and their pets at venues we haven't been to yet. For our dog walking and pet sitting services we mainly serve the following greater Houston areas & neighborhoods: Garden Oaks, The Heights, Neartown, Montrose, Midtown, River Oaks, Rice Military, Galleria, Upper Kirby, Bunker Hill Village, Spring Branch, Memorial City, Briargrove Park, Tanglewood, and Memorial, plus East Montgomery County. For pet wedding attendant bookings specifically, they will travel anywhere within Texas.
What pets do you care for?
Every animal is welcome. However for weddings we tend to focus on dogs.
How does payment work for wedding services?
Pet wedding attendant package fees are payable through our client portal system Time To Pet, either at the time of booking or no later than one month before the event date. Most debit and credit cards plus ACH transfers are securely accepted through the Time To Pet client portal.
What is the cancellation policy for wedding services?
Once a couple cancels, every payment for pet wedding attendant services, becomes non-refundable.
Is there a new client consultation fee?
No. While we do require an in-person consultation and behavior assessment for local Houston clients, there is no fee. The visit happens in your own home, so your pet stays relaxed in familiar surroundings.
How early should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for spring and fall wedding seasons in Houston. Reach out to check availability for your date.
