About
Rebecca Ann Paulsel founded The Golden Leash in 2023 after more than a decade working across Houston's pet care industry — from doggy daycares and boarding facilities to veterinary practices where she earned her Certified Veterinary Assistant Level 1 credential. She named the company in honor of her beloved Golden Retriever Dakota, whose unconditional love inspired her to build something rooted in genuine care and integrity. Rebecca Ann is passionate about animals of all kinds and brings that same warmth to every couple she works with on their wedding day.
How It Works
It starts with a complimentary Zoom discovery call where Rebecca Ann gets to know you and your pet before any services begin. From there, she syncs up with your photographer, planner, and venue in advance and builds a custom pet itinerary for the day. On your wedding day, she handles transport, on-site care, and every moment your pet is part of the celebration — then delivers them safely home when the festivities wrap up.
Monday–Saturday 9am–8pm, Sunday 2pm–8pm. Travels within state of Texas for pet wedding attendant services. Up to 60 miles included; additional miles at $2/mile.

Engagement Photo Assistance

Yes, The Golden Leash Dog Walking and Pet Sitting LLC is fully licensed, insured, and bonded. They are also pet first aid and CPR certified.
What areas do you service?
They service Garden Oaks, The Heights, Neartown, Montrose, Midtown, River Oaks, Rice Military, Galleria, Upper Kirby, Bunker Hill Village, Spring Branch, Memorial City, Briargrove Park, Tanglewood, and Memorial in greater Houston, as well as East Montgomery County. For pet wedding attendant services, they will travel within the state of Texas.
What pets do you care for?
All animals are welcomed. The primary focus is dogs and cats, but they also care for small pocket pets, parrots, chickens/ducks, fish tanks, and bearded dragons.
How does payment work for wedding services?
All pet wedding attendant payments are due at the time of booking or a month before the service date. Payments are accepted via most debit/credit cards and ACH through the Time To Pet client portal.
What is the cancellation policy for wedding services?
For pet wedding attendant services, all payments including the retainer are non-refundable if the client cancels. In the unlikely event that The Golden Leash must cancel, a full refund excluding the retainer is provided.
Is there a new client consultation fee?
Yes, there is a one-time $25 fee for new client consultations and behavior assessments. The consultation takes place at your home so your pet is comfortable in their own environment.
