About

Kelsey founded KLC Pet Sitting after a decade of animal rescue, boarding, and pet care work in the Myrtle Beach area. In three years she's grown a small team that has cared for more than 700 pets, with team members bringing veterinary tech, rescue, and grooming backgrounds to every booking.

How It Works

After a required meet-and-greet, the handler builds a wedding-day plan around your timeline and photographer. On the day, they pick up your dog, manage potty breaks and any aisle moments, supervise during the ceremony from a front-row seat near an exit, and return your dog home to dinner before the reception begins.

Standard hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; wedding handlers do not stay for the reception. 50% non-refundable deposit required to hold a wedding date.

What Sets Them Apart

  • Four wedding tiers — couples pick the exact level of pet involvement instead of paying for hours they don't need.
  • Every package ends with the team driving the dog home and feeding them dinner, so no one in the wedding party has to think about pickups.
  • Pet CPR and First Aid certified team that's also fully insured and background-checked.
  • Photo props (bow ties, bandanas, flower collars) are included free, plus a discounted $80 overnight stay so couples can stay out the night of the wedding.

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you serve for wedding services?

We currently offer wedding day dog handler services for venues in Myrtle Beach, Conway, and surrounding Grand Strand areas. If your venue is outside our standard travel range, we may still be able to accommodate for an additional mileage fee.

Can my dog walk down the aisle?

Absolutely! If it's part of your plan, we'll happily help your pup make their grand entrance — or walk with them ourselves if needed. We'll coordinate this with your photographer and planner in advance to make it seamless.

What if my dog gets overwhelmed or starts barking during the ceremony?

We'll be seated where we can swiftly exit the area and will be ready to calmly remove your dog if they become nervous, noisy, or overstimulated. Your pet's comfort and the flow of your ceremony are our top priorities.

Do you stay for the reception too?

Our services include packages through cocktail hour, but we do not attend receptions. We'll safely return your pet home and ensure they're fed and settled in.

Are meet-and-greets required?

Yes! We require a short meet-and-greet prior to the big day to get to know your dog, discuss the timeline, and go over any specific needs or routines.

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend booking at least 4-8 weeks in advance, especially for spring and fall weddings which fill up fast. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date.

Do you offer overnight care after the wedding?

Yes! For couples not returning home on their wedding night, we offer an overnight stay add-on at a discounted rate of $80 (normally $95). Just let us know in advance if you'd like to add it to your package.
