Hitching Post Dog Handlers is part of the Bark Around Boston family of services, bringing that same dedication to weddings and special events. Her goal is simple: bring a little extra magic to your wedding day, with your dog right there beside you.
How It Works
Start with a consult booked through Calendly so Danielle and her team can learn about your dog and your wedding timeline. On the day itself, they arrive for your chosen package window — handling pre-ceremony photos with the bridal party, escorting your dog down the aisle, or sitting ringside and monitoring behavior during the ceremony. Payments are processed through PayPal, and the whole experience is designed so you never have to worry about what your dog is doing while you're saying your vows.

Elope Package
Starting at $5502–3 hours of pre-wedding handling for photos of your dog with the bridal party, with the bride and groom getting ready, and around the venue. Follows photographer instructions. Manages pet behavior, temperature, and physical needs. Up to 50 miles of travel included (per services page: up to 3 hours, perfect for family photos, getting ready, and first look; includes up to 50 miles of travel).
Wedding Package
Starting at $700Everything in the Elope Package plus handling during the ceremony — walking the dog down the aisle as a flower girl or ring bearer, or sitting ringside and monitoring behavior during the ceremony, only escorting out if needed. Up to 4 hours of onsite handling. Up to 5 hours on site per services page.
Honeymoon Package
Email for pricingEverything in the Elope or Wedding Package plus boarding before and/or after the event. Highly customized — requires a consultation to determine pricing.

What's the difference between the Elope and Wedding packages?
The Elope Package (starting at $550) covers 2–3 hours of pre-ceremony handling — getting-ready photos with the bridal party, first look moments, and venue shots. The Wedding Package (starting at $700) includes everything in the Elope Package plus ceremony handling, whether that means walking your dog down the aisle as a ring bearer or monitoring their behavior from the sideline.
How far will Hitching Post Dog Handlers travel for a wedding?
The Elope Package includes up to 50 miles of travel. The Wedding Package also covers up to 50 miles. For the Honeymoon Package or events beyond that range, contact them directly to discuss options.
Does my dog need to meet the handler before the wedding?
Yes — Hitching Post uses Calendly to book an initial consult before any event. This allows Danielle to learn about your dog's personality and needs so she can plan accordingly for your wedding day.
